The
beneficiaries of the activities of the Project should ultimately
be all actors throughout the horticulture sector – as
well as the consumers themselves. Initially, however, the
Project has selected individual actors (or clients) who appeared
to have potential for piloting introductions. These have been
largely farming families involved in nursery and crop production
as well as individual input suppliers and service providers.
Support to individual clients is considered successful when

have been willing to share the risk testing innovations, and |

were willing to share their knowledge and experience widely with others.
Increasingly, the Project is promoting the creation
(or strengthening) of interest groups (including associations and
cooperatives) and is directing more of its interventions through
such organizations.
Within the overall approach of the Project, opportunities
will be sought to promote the practical and strategic role of women
– both within their families and in the economy as a whole.
Similarly opportunities will be taken to involve minorities
in project activities and to encourage collaboration between the
different ethnic groups of Kosovo. |
